The Road Not Taken

...yet! Here'e the Roadmap to it!

Helloooooo!

How have you been?

I’ve seen your inboxes quite a few times this week, and will literally see you in a few hours! (super nervous)

But that doesn’t mean the Friday ritual of this newsletter can take the back seat.

So,

In my last newsletter (October 4th, to be precise), I said I’d be taking on a challenge.

To earn 10 lakhs in the remainder of 2025.

The plan was to start the challenge once I hit 100 subscribers, but we cannot wait forever. With only 75 days left, here’s how the roadmap to achieve the goal looks like.

The things I have planned, the ideas in my head.

1. Outreach, lots of it.

I get around 5-7 inbound leads per month. People find my profile and portfolio interesting so shoot a DM. But it’s not always a positive. Okay let me be honest, it is hardly positive.

Most inbounds are not willing to pay what I charge and I end up rejecting them.

So the plan is to outreach. Mails have never worked for me (maybe I have been doing it wrong) but LinkedIn DMs show some positivity.

If nothing you get a concrete no and that is a closure!

(More on this in Today’s call).

2. LinkedIn Posts

Something that has helped me a lot, either getting clients or followers is my LinkedIn posts.

I made my account in 2020, being shy to post anything or even comment because the whole world could see it.

When I quit my job in May, this became non-negotiable. I had to put myself out so I stopped giving a fuck.

6 months, 5000 followers, 5 clients and 12 inbound leads later, the fear seems bullshit.

I now understand what kind of posts get inbounds and what kind gets followers.

The plan is to write more posts that target my ICP and throw in a few for the numbers (it is always a good dopamine hit).

3. Upskill or rather Upscale!

I am a very practical learner. I cannot learn something unless I do it.

So I’ll try and pick up newer, more challenging projects that would break the monotony and help me explore more!

I’ve never ghostwritten LinkedIn posts for anybody but I’m in talks for the same with a co-founder. So that should be interesting.

I’m also writing content for a brochure of a B2B steel brand. I’ve shared my proposal with another inbound lead for LinkedIn Marketing.

So I’m willing to explore different formats of content and such one-time projects are fine. As long as I’m having fun!

To sum up!

  1. Outreach for blogs

  2. Take interesting inbound / referral projects

  3. Show up consistently, so that people know who I am.

That is my road map to earning 10 lakhs in 100 days. (25 of which I don’t know went where 😭)

Anyway, that’s all for now.

For all your questions, queries and clarifications join me this evening at 4 PM!

See you super soon!

Love,

Nikita
