I'm letting it go
because I am frustrated!
Hellooooo!
How are you doing?
Let’s all take a deep breath before we get into it.

(Honestly, I need it more than you right now, but since you are here, might as well intake some extra oxygen)
Alright, so..
If you follow me on LinkedIn, you might’ve seen my post that says:

Yep, it came straight from the heart.
To be honest, this month (till now) has been… let’s just say, a bit shady.
This client who initially promised 12 blogs a month, made me confident enough to set a financial goal of 1 lakh for September.
But… they’re slow.

Slow at assigning blogs, slow at responding, and slow at communicating overall.
It’s been 20 days, and I’ve only submitted 4 blogs so far. My financial targets seem to have taken a backseat because of this.
Then there are the inbound leads who seem unsure of when (or if) they want to start projects.
I quoted one client ₹8k for website content (2 pages and 6 product descriptions). He negotiated, and I agreed to 6k. Then, I received this message from him, and I politely declined.

(If you legit want to contribute to my goals, you could have closed it at 8k only. Sigh.)
Another inbound lead has been talking with me since the first week of August. Initially, it was for LinkedIn marketing, but they later added website content and blogs to the project.
After several follow-ups, and no signs of a response, I sent them a closure message.

The third situation was kind of promising—blog writing for a SaaS website. I was really excited. I submitted a paid assignment, and they were supposed to assign me 10 more blogs.
But there’s been zero communication since. I’ve decided to let that one go (after getting the payment, of course).

It’s exhausting to constantly follow up and be nice to potential clients.
It takes a mental toll.
But I’ve decided not to let myself get so hung up on any one client or project that I overlook the bigger opportunities out there.
I had two potential client calls this week (one inbound, one outbound), and I’m really hoping to close at least one of them.
Hopefully, I’ll have some good news to share with you in the next newsletter. If not I’ll cry literally!

What’s up with you guys?
I’d love to connect, brainstorm strategies, and possibly cry together.
See you next Friday!
Love,
Nikita
