January Recap
Doubts, Progress and More Doubts!
Hellooooo!
What are you up to?
I've been swamped with travel, work, and wedding preps, but that won’t stop us from staying consistent here, will it?

This month’s plan was simple: heavy outreach and closing one international client.
Here’s how that’s going:
Emails sent: 0
Connection requests sent: 0
International clients closed: 0
Now you know why.
The first two weeks of January, people were still thawing. I didn’t want to hit them with a pitch the moment they woke up.
Instead, I focused on negotiating rates with current clients and took two prospect calls:
1 inbound, 1 referral.

Week 3?
Wrapped up client work before heading to Delhi. Spent time shopping, celebrating Sankranti, and, of course, traveling.
Week 4? Delhi mode.
Caught up with friends, explored food, and sorted things out.
Got back on the 23rd, attended the second inbound client call, and spent the weekend drafting the proposal/agreement.
Now we’re in Week 5, February is around the corner, and so are two weddings. God help me.
And now, I’m in two minds:

Do outreach and lock in clients before things get crazy.
But if I do, I know I’ll slack when life takes over.
Sigh.
To motivate myself, I went through my leads sheet and wow, these three months last year were gold.
I was super motivated, super free, and super into it.
My strategy was on point, bringing in solid inbounds and better-paying clients. I want that energy back, but right now?
My time management sucks.
My prioritization sucks.
Life? Also sucks.
Tell me I’ve been writing too many LinkedIn posts without telling me I’ve been writing too many LinkedIn posts.
Anyway, positives of the month:
✅ Closed the referral client in Week 2. The project kicks off in Feb.
✅ At the negotiation stage with the inbound lead. Fingers crossed.

Takeaway from this month:
If you’re feeling off-track, take a step back and look at what’s already working.
I didn’t do cold outreach this month, but I still landed a referral and an inbound lead.
Sometimes, instead of forcing outreach when life is busy, doubling down on relationships and inbound strategies can keep things moving.
By next Friday, I will have a plan. I owe myself that much.

Hope you had a better January!
See you next Friday.
Love,
Nikita
