Sneak Peek: Inside My Brain

new normals, new dreams, new challenges

THE NEW NORMAL

helloooooo!

It's the third Friday, and we're back with this magazine-style template that (A LOT of) you loved.

Honestly, it gives some much-needed structure to my thoughts and pushes me to come up with something fresh for each section.

This edition is themed around:

“Do you ever look at someone and wonder what is going on inside their head?”

In this case, mine.

LET’S TAKE A LOOK →

Feature Story

WIN OF THE MONTH

I have been working with the sweetest client yet.

Apologizing and stating the exact reason for a delay in payment without even asking/following up?

Is this what dreams are made of??

GRATEFUL :)

The BRAIN

Bring Out Your Digging Tools!

Thought Process

II don’t chase ideas for content. I find them in conversations, quiet moments, and even silence.

I let my mind wander without pressure, but if something strikes? I note it down instantly.

RIP to all the ideas I thought I’d remember :’(

Inspiration

I’ve started doing this recently. I save topics I’d love to have written about, LinkedIn posts I could write ‘my version’ of.

The screenshot is a topic I’d like to write about someday.

Engagement!

I logged onto Fable to update my reading streak, and while scrolling, I found an image I knew the community would love.

I didn’t set out thinking “what can I post today?”, it just came up, and I shared it.
I don’t make time for community (and everything else I do) it’s always running in the background of my mind.

That’s probably why I find ways to stay engaged, without forcing it.

The Mantra!

This one’s close to my heart.

I used to chase perfection, and got nowhere.
Then I decided to just start.

I recently counted, I’ve written 98 newsletters across 4 different series (as of two weeks ago!).

Now, I’m finally at a point where I can tweak, experiment, and improve, because I made it exist first.

P.S. It’s 12:38 AM as I write this (and 1:11 am as I edit this). I’m sleepy, my head hurts, this edition is a bit more complex (thanks to all the image hunting)... but we’re here.
We show up. Every single week!

The Vision

Another Screenshot

If I had to sum up what the inside of my brain looks like, this would be it: a mix of dreaming big, leaning into drama, and living in the moment.

Yes, there’s the $5,000 challenge. There are growth targets, goals, and metrics. But at the heart of it all, it’s just me experimenting.

  • I experimented with writing newsletters. Now it’s my main service.

  • I experimented building a community (with help, I’m not doing it alone). And now, I get messages that genuinely make my day.

  • I’m trying to build a web app. Maybe I’ll love it enough to keep going. Maybe not. I’ll find out.

What keeps me going is the creative challenge.

Coming up with newsletter ideas, keeping the community engaged, staying motivated, and more, none of that is easy.

But I enjoy it. Every bit of it.
And that makes the effort feel worth it.

The NEW CHALLENGES Edit

Find the New-er Normal

I’ve never felt confident speaking in public, a result of 12 years of stammering.
But that’s changing.

I don’t know if I’ll become a public speaker, but I’ve started to want to get on stage and talk.

 A Webinar?

To put this into action, I’ll be doing 1 session every month.
The first one? Inspired by something I stole mid-conversation.

Do I have the confidence?
Nope.

Do I expect a crowd?
Not really.

Will I do it anyway?
Absofckinglutely YES.

The Web App

There’s an idea I’d love to bring to life.
But I don’t have the budget to hire someone, especially when I don’t know how it’ll turn out.

So we upskill.
We teach ourselves, get messy, and go all in.

It’s slow (juggling client work at the moment), but I make sure to give it at least 10 minutes a day.

Every single day.

A Final Note

I’m not sure if this gave you a complete look into my brain, but I tried. To sum up:
I read. I consume. I create. I do nothing. I do everything.

I think… that was the point. :)

PS. If you're interested in attending the upcoming webinar session (How I Use my 30 hours in 24 hours), help me pick a date and time!
