Weekly roundup

Hellooooo!

How have you been? After last week’s edition, 11 people unsubscribed from this newsletter. It was a shocker. People unsubscribe every day, which is okay, but 9 people on 1 day, followed by 2 more at a time! God!!

That got me to think seriously about this newsletter.

So that’s what I have been up to. Deciding the future of this newsletter.

This newsletter was, is, and always will be about documentation of my journey, as a freelancer at first, and as a solopreneur now! So that stays. But what about you guys? What do you gain by opening this newsletter every Friday?

So, I decided on a new format. It will be structured, it will have something for me, and a lot of things for you!

Treating it as an experiment for a couple of months, and based on the response, will take a call.

How do you not give up?

I set big goals for this month. (I do every month). And for the last 3 months, I haven’t been able to complete the checklist.

These aren’t major goals, just 3 achievable measurable goals.

I can either give up or forgive myself and look at the new month as a new opportunity. I do the latter.

But this works for me. What should you do?

  1. Break your goals into smaller weekly targets
Monthly goals can feel clear, but still get delayed. When you split them into weekly tasks, it becomes easier to stay consistent and avoid last-minute pressure.

  2. Focus on progress, not just completion
You don’t always need to finish a goal to move forward fully. Track how much you’ve improved or moved ahead, because progress builds momentum.

  3. Reflect and adjust, don’t criticize yourself
At the end of the month, look at what didn’t work and why. No guilt. Just small adjustments so the next month becomes more realistic and achievable.

Last Week

Previously on 10X

Last week, I wrote about my brain fog and getting my shit together, which shows why my goals have been incomplete.

That’s it for this week.

Let me know if you like this new format. I’ll stick to it for a couple of months. Please tell me what sections I should add. And how can this newsletter help you more?
