September looks promising...

Will I make my 1st lakh this month?

Hellloooooooo!!

Whatsup? How are you? What are you up to these days? I wanna know!

As for me? Well, this hello has extra o’s because I’m excited.

Pedro pedro pedroooo pedrooooo aye

What’s in it?

Some good news and some bad news.

I’ll start with the bad news first.

𝟏.
My GST application got rejected. Reason? Unknown.

I had a plan for an additional income stream that required a GST certificate. Since that didn’t happen, I’m postponing it for now.

𝟐.
Next, one of my highest-paying clients (the design agency) has given me a heads-up that we might have to discontinue work in October.

This was particularly disappointing for two reasons:

  1. This work is social media-related, so it breaks the monotony of the long-form content I usually do.

  2. I’ll need another high-paying client to fill the gap.

But we still have them for this month, so that’s good!

and now, the good news (plural):

𝟏.
I closed my highest-paying client yet! (Check outbound 3 from my last newsletter)

I’ll be writing blogs for a SaaS website at ₹3 per word, with 12 blogs per month.

The contract is of ₹4800 per article since the average word count is 1600.
I’m super stoked about it.

𝟐.
I got an inbound client from Singapore to work with, though I didn’t take the job (it was 90% sales and 10% content). But he found me through Google, which I count as a win.

𝟑.
I’m restarting calligraphy to take a screen break and detox. It’s a win-win for me and my Instagram presence.

I picked up a brush pen after 1167 days :(

𝟒.
I’ve been walking and exercising 5 out of 6 days this month, which is great since I usually fall off after 3 days. Fitness was a focus this month, and I’m going strong.

𝟓.
August saw the highest number of orders from my content marketing agency, doubling my July earnings. September looks slow, but the new client should make up for it.

I’m also doing a "30 Days 30 Stories" challenge on LinkedIn and have posted 6 days straight! (Follow along here!)

If the math is mathing and I get paid on time, I’ll have:

  • 40k from the design agency

  • 57k from the SaaS client

  • Worst case, 15k from the content marketing agency.

I’m excited about these numbers. I had a New Year’s resolution to earn ₹1 lakh per month by June, which seemed far off when I quit my full-time job to freelance.

I’m happy with the progress and hope that by the end of this month, I can say I made my first 6-figure income!

That’s all from me and about me.

Now, I understand this might not be super helpful for you, so feel free to reply with any doubts, questions, or tips you want to ask.

I’ll compile and answer them in the next newsletter.

See you next Friday!

Love,
Nikita
