The Month I Did Everything (Almost)

interviews, gigs, hobbies, fights, and what not!

Hellooooooo!

Or should I say yo yo yo! Whatsupp?

That’s how we greet each other in our community, where it is forbidden to say nice.
Cause it’s always Noice!!

Now. Where do we begin?

What a month.
I did not expect it to be so roller coaster-y, but here we are.

Let’s begin from the beginning. (LONG POST/Rant Alert)

At the start of the month, I set BIGG goals for myself!
I had shared them in this edition: 1K newsletter subscribers, 10K LinkedIn followers, and whatnot.

Then came May 7th and the war anticipations, which pushed me to pick up the $5K challenge that I had planned at the start of this year.

So, starting May 7th, I began posting daily work progress on X (minus weekends).
I was shortlisting, outreaching, and pitching, all while working with my current clients.

I also expanded my services, offering LinkedIn ghostwriting and newsletter writing.

Since even one goal needed so much work and attention, the original May goals took a backseat.

And because we need something new every month (lol), I started a LinkedIn company page, called Fully Content.

Then, on May 12th, I got a message from a newsletter founder with 100K+ subs asking if I’d be interested in becoming their lead newsletter writer.

I was like WHATTTT?!

So the first half of May was okay. Posting daily (sometimes twice on LinkedIn), one 100K post, reading books, and tweeting.

Life felt good.

Then I got a reply from the founder to book a call with HR. Our meeting was on the 15th.

So, I went through an interview with HR, then with the founder, and shared my version of their newsletters as a part of the assignment in these two weeks. (Still waiting to hear back.)

Since I was also offering LinkedIn ghostwriting, I asked a friend if I could take over his LinkedIn account for the month. He said yes, of course. So I started experimenting.

I was also chatting with someone who runs LinkedIn as a service, just asking basic questions like deliverables and pay.

He ended up asking me if I’d like to ghostwrite for him!

And I was like, WHATTTT?!

I said yes, ₹1K per post.
Agreed to write 9 posts from scratch and edit some of his AI-generated ones.

The second post did so well. Got 13.5K impressions by the next day, his highest ever.

On the same day (I think), I got another inbound asking if I wanted to write founder-led content for a personal brand.

Mind you, this is when I wasn’t even promoting myself as a ghostwriter or newsletter writer. Didn’t mention it in my headline.

Anyway, so now it’s the second last week of May and I’m frenzied.

I am writing my own LinkedIn posts, posts for the ghostwriting client, posts for the friend, getting on calls, writing, editing, working on the assignment for the newsletter role, creating content for the company page, pushing towards the $5K challenge, updating daily on X, writing two newsletters a week, and drafting a proposal for the founder-led inbound.

and….my back gave up.

I’ve never had so much lower back pain in my life.
I started looking for ergonomic chairs and a desk setup, but I told myself, “Let me close the newsletter client, and then I’ll gift the setup to myself.”

Now, don’t get me wrong. I wasn’t overworked.

I took weekends completely off. Went on hobby calls with friends, watched movies, learned to solve a Rubik’s cube, fought with friends, made up, started painting and calligraphy again, started waking up early, and bought a coloring book!

I also ended up reading five books in May.

I don’t even know where this energy came from.
There’s no “real” progress on paper, so it may seem negligible, but I’m so proud of myself.

I’m passionate about what I’m doing.
I keep challenging myself to get better every day.
I don’t know which challenge is where anymore, but I do know we’re not giving up.

I just need to add a workout to my routine if I really want to keep working like this. (I do!)

Here’s to loads of health, happiness, passionate work, and love.

Thank you for showing up every Friday and being a part of my journey.
Ye lo phool 🌻

June is going to be crazierrr!

See you next Friday!

Love,
Nikita
