Here’s How the Second Half of My Year Looked Like
Helloooooo,
How’s this winter treating you?
I spent the weekend in Banaras, catching up with friends and soaking in some much-needed good vibes.

But, coming back to a mountain of work, I realized I’ve been slacking off and really need to get my act together.
Anyway, if you read my last newsletter, I recapped the first six months of 2024.
Let’s pick up where we left off:
July Nikita
was working with two clients—one for blogs and another for managing social media content for three brands. She was optimistic, with plans to onboard two more clients since there was room on her plate.

August Nikita
finally signed her third client! (The fourth didn’t clear the initial assignment payment—freelancing woes, right?) This was also when her LinkedIn activity paid off, bringing in a steady stream of inbound leads—eight in total that month!
September Nikita
hit a milestone she’d always dreamed of—earning 1 lakh in a month as a freelancer. It took juggling four clients, but she did it.
(She even wrote a post about it—check it out here!)

October Nikita
started feeling the pressure. Determined not to earn a penny less than the previous month, she pushed herself hard, no matter what.
She dealt with some personal struggles, and cried on her birthday, but still managed to close the month at 80% of her goal.
November Nikita
hit a low point. The personal issue she’d been avoiding took centre stage, disrupting her work and peace of mind. She finally chose to prioritize herself, letting go of what wasn’t working.
On a brighter note, she visited Bihar to experience Chhath Pooja at a friend’s house, and it was magical.
December Nikita
is typing this, Fresh from a Varanasi trip, she’s okay but dealing with challenges.
One client stopped outsourcing, and another is yet to assign new work after she asked for a price increase.
She’s fighting her battles, both internal and external, but she’s optimistic. She’s showing up, no matter what.

and just like that, the 2024 season comes to an end…
On a side note:
Writing has always been my escape. It’s where I go to express, process, and sometimes just feel. Lately, I’ve been writing my heart out, and I’ve decided to share it on Substack. If you’re interested, you can check it out here.
2025 Nikita?
She’s going to be unstoppable. Plans are in motion, and she’s determined not to let herself—or anyone else—down.
More updates and 2025 plans coming in the next newsletter.
Thank you for sticking with me through it all. I couldn’t have done this without you.

See you next Friday,
Love,
Nikita
